There are some areas in West Texas where you can spot someone walking towards you a full day in the distance. Kelley (Texas) :)
 
As he came at me growling I ran towards him swinging my lens....luckily he backed off before I had to smack him with it....don't really want to hurt anything unless I have to. Most animals I encounter usually like me fortunately!

Now that's a lens. My word. I wouldn't want to carry that thing around. I have a hard enough time with my little lenses.
