A tip for those with older Sovereign's cheap battery replacement

Last night did a search on Ebay 12V battery pack.I scanned and found a pack that would either fit in the older Sovereign battery compartment or possible a hollowed out newer GT alkaline pack. The best candidate a 1300 ohm pack that looks like ten cells wrapped with a charger included total price shipped $13.65 unbelievable price.Just thought I would share this information to help someone who needs a new rechargeable battery pack.By the way I ordered one for myself. I tried these Ron, would only last exactly 2 hours no matter how long I charged them up. I recycleled them a dozen times, made no difference. They are very lightweight. The seller ended up refunding my money. Good for a back-up maybe. Let us know how yours are, maybe I just got a bad one.

Bob,I'll give mine a try and get back with the results. The 1300 omh with 10 cells in a pack on paper should be more than enough to exceed the stock packs.I'm going to replace the battery pack and charger with a stock ML connector. The price is suspect but nothing to lose. I'll try mine in the field and log in my use time.I wouldn't bother using this as backup unless it could last least 6 hrs. Thanks for the information. Ron
