A tip for the new 250 12-inch coil....

When you locate a target and pinpoint it and it isn't right under the hotspot at the front of the coil, turn 90 degrees to the target, scan and pinpoint again, and 99% of the time it will be right on the button because the deeper the target the farther back from the front of the coil it will be and sometimes slightly off to the side. Using the 90% method will put the target right where you want it.
