A Thursday School Hunt instead of working

Found a new school to hunt today. I had computer work to do, but one must get his priorities in order. Nothing exciting except that I found 2 rings, one a girl's silver ring and another ring, maybe gold but not marked on the band. A small braided silver earing. Hit a fair amount of clad some found as many as 7 coins in one area near the bars. Found a $10 Hong Kong coin and a 1958s Wheatie in the fray.
Tevas and shorts the uniform of the day a beautiful 77 degree day with blue skies. The rest of the week looks about the same. This is the time of the year where FL weather shines for me. Forget that heat! I find it hard to take that 5.3 eclipse off the Mxt... a great little shooter. I need to get a pair of volume limiter type head phones. Those surface pennies are killing my ears. Anyway .. above all have fun! HH. Marty

WOW!
Good hunt..
Keep it up, our days are getting colder and shorter.

HH

You had a grand hunt today. Aren't you glad you went detecting instead of work? OH YEAH! Nice finds and HH, Nancy

Yepper Nancy,

The Ten Dollar Hong Kong Coin I found out is worth about $1.29 American. What is it doing in a elementary school?

More than likely a child took it for show and tell or else just took it to show their friends. While playing in the playground, they lost it. Hey, Have you read this.................Larry's Gold Coin I was with him when he found it. He wears it around his neck ever since. HH, Nancy

I would freak out if I hit that beauty anywhere, but in a playground. that is cool. Maybe some day in a rich neighborhood. lol

At times I think Larry is still in disbelief that he found it. You just never know what's down there waiting to be uncovered. HH, Nancy

So you end up with 2 silvers, a possible gold piece, one wheatie, a nice foreign coin and a good amount of clad and you say you found "..nothing exciting.." ? I'd be pretty satisfied with a hunt like that.

Perhaps a bad choice of words, I have a habit of over expectation when I hunt. You are right any hunt is great, and this one was a good one.
I stand with your correction, lol Marty

nice finds, detecting is much more fun than work any day :detecting:

Actually Marty I understand your high expectations on every hunt...I'm the same way. I think the MXT does that to everyone eventually. You're always expecting to find something exciting with it...and you usually do ! But like you said, every hunt is a good hunt and I always take a moment to appreciate every hunt regardless of what turns up. Good job and keep that attitude...
