a three and a half bullet kinda day...

GRAY GHOST

hello all. frank and i hit a new spot yesterday, knowing full well it had been hit in the past [ you know how that goes] an old homesite once stood there as well, so we were hoping to find some old coins and maybe some nice civil war relics too. we didn't find any coins, kinda disapointing, but... oh well... again, you know how that goes.
it was a nice day to be out. the first item is a really odd .58 cal. three ringer bullet that has been shot and is almost evenly sheared in half longways. a piece of chewed lead is next, then a .36 cal. ball for a revolver. next is a williams "cleaner" bullet, and then an almost perfect .58 cal. three ringer. that brings my total to 3 and a half bullets.
the usual handful of miscellanious stuff was gotten too. well coinnut, my hunt didn't set the world on fire either, [ at least you got a couple of old cents! ] just remember that better days and hunts are ahead. it's a fickle hobby, my friend. you know how it rolls! thanks, and hh,

Hey Ghost. Yes, it isn't always the golden day we want:biggrin: but sometimes it's just the pleasure of getting out and digging that dirt with some good friends. Besides, my best finds always come when I least expect them. You never know when a slow day can turn into a great day. Besides, three and a half bullets isn't that bad a day. Next time demand four bullets:detecting: HH everyone!

Congrats on the good hunt Ghost! Heck to me that would be a very good day! I am glad you got out and had a chance to hunt, Beale.
