A thought on all that "junk" we find.....

The other day I was cleaning up (ha) my shop. I found a container with pieces of scrap copper. I took it in and sold it for over a hundred dollars.
Okay, just last week, I found a bunch of yellow brass I'd been hanging on to. there was 125# total in the brass. I took that in and received $187.50 for it!!!!!
So, you guys might want to get a couple of plastic pails, and throw your brass and copper in them as you find it. Keys, odd fittings, etc.
they all add up to some serious change!
The chinese are buying up a lot of metals, certainly oil, and related fuels.
Just my take, but I won't be pitching anymore of those old keys into the trash. they go in the new detector fund can!!:detecting:

I'll probably use the lead myself, at least for now. The copper and brass will eventually get sold.

I've also been saving a lot of the pure "trash" from the water lately. I'm going to glue these various "sharp" pieces onto a board or something, and take that around to some of the private campgrounds, and tell them if they let me search the swimming area, I'll remove all of those "sharp" objects, as long as they let me keep the goodies as well.
