I thought I'd share this interesting find with you all...a 1907 Swiss Franc found in Texas!? Found in combined mode...it ID'd at 12-47 and was about 6 inches deep. It's the first silver found with my ctx.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Very cool

Helvetia makes for a very pretty coin, congratulations on finding a beauty.

What a great find for your first CTX silver - you don't come across those every day (especially in Texas!)

Nice find! I found a "45" French 5 franc coin late in the summer and wouldn't you know it, it was made of aluminum. Pre WW II were made of silver.

That's interesting! I wasn't exactly sure if the Swiss franc was silver or not...it's just a tick smaller than a quarter but seems a lot lighter than a quarter. I was thinking maybe it was aluminum but googled it and luckily it is silver.

Awesome very cool first silver with your CTX congrats

Dont know what part of Texas you are in but in Houston we find lots of foreign coins. Yesterday I dug a 1911 English George V one penny!
