A suggestion in regards to the Racer design.

I am very impressed with Nokta. I like how you guys came out of the blue and are disrupting the market.
I noticed the trigger which I assume is for pin-pointing on the upcoming Makro Racer metal detector. I think it would be beneficial to add some type of a rubber boot or sheath over the entire trigger. No one wants mud and sand jamming up the trigger on their detector.
The Racer and the Fors Core are definite purchases this spring for me.
I just need to see the complete reveal of the Racer.
I do allot of beach hunting in the winter after the storms. I hope the Racer with it's beach mode can handle the salt and black sand.
I think it is very important to ensure that the Racer or any detector has sufficient Weather resistance.

Thanks for listening
Jason

Other than having a different frequency the Racer has every option that the Fors Core has in a more ergonomic design. I doubt anyone will want the Fors after the racer makes it to sales.

Well?

There is getting to be a few around for sale now in the $750.00 price range. I am looking foward to the new relase of the Racer.

it depends how it pans out in tests when compared with each other . so wait for some tests before getting carried away on the bandwagon

The one thing, you have to love to use it with any detector, is the S shaft/handle. Just don't care for them, however from the looks of the pictures they just might have more of an upwards curve to the Racer handle than your typical S handled detector.

Hello and thank you for the feedback. I already discussed the rubber sheath suggestion with my team and they will definitely look into it. If not ready for the launch, we will implement it later on but we will try our best for before launch.

I am seriously considering purchasing the Racer when available. I would need it to have the rubber boot covering the trigger also. If not available upon release, I can wait until the update is incorporated.

Nokta is doing an outstanding job of building detectors that consumers want.

The only other issue I hope is revised is the single distributor currently authorized to sell these fine detectors. Of all the distributors/dealers in the USA, the Florida Dealer is the one I prefer not to use. I sure hope they do not have an exclusive contract, and that as time allows you can begin to utilize other high quality dealers that provide outstanding service and price.

Nokta and Makro used to be two companies but are now under one ownership.

Nokta markets the Velox One plus FORS CoRe and FORS Gold. They are currently distributed by Kellyco.

Makro markets the CF77 and soon Racer and Racer Gold. They are currently distributed by Detector Electronics and its dealers.

bandwagon? I guess you missed it when you got your deus and your other machines. You never rode the bandwagon.

Don't be a jerk to people. I have intrest in this machine. Guess im on the bandwagon also. When I bought my mxt-pro and everyone encouraged me to get a at-pro a couple of years ago ill also call that a bandwagon move..........NOT!!!!!

One should keep in mind that the "listening" and "responding" to customer's concerns varies with the product. I've asked on the Kellyco, Metal Detector, and this site how a potential buyer could be certain exactly what frequency the various Golden King and DeepHunter coils use with no good answer yet. I've even asked on this venue with no response.

I'm thinking there are differences, that the models are evolving to the higher 17.5 kHz, but the exact name of which model has what frequency is confusing. Downloading brochures and Manuals has not helped since some show conflicting information re: coil frequencies.

As such, one should be cautious in attributing stellar customer service across the board with this (these) companies.

My concern is that, without more detailed info, a guy could lay out $3-6 grand for a 12.5 kHz, older model.

Thanks for the Heads Up, Steve. Still, I've been asking these questions for almost a month now. I'm thinking Dealers and Mfgers are changing models and reluctant to clarify what the exact features of existing stock are. I have a Golden King Manual showing 12.5 kHz on all three coils and a Golden King Brochure showing 17.5 kHz on all coils... with no clear difference in the model description to my perceptions. Also, Notka has answered Racer questions with lightning speed, but none on the deeper models.

I guess the message is to check out other deep detecting alternatives.
