A standoff in Texas........

That's one massive beast! Beautiful picture and just knowing how mean they can get, it's pretty scary that there's just a few barbed wires on posts for a fence. Is this a younger one, or is the fence pretty tall? I love animal photos. Thanks again!
 
thanks for the comments....they are pretty big critters for sure. Out here in the open plains of Texas..when you see a herd it really looks amazing...I hate the fences around them
 
I know, can you imagine when there were a huge number of them roaming the plains.....I read somewhere that we had folks out there killing them and just leaving them to die so that the Native Americans would be starved out. I love my couintry but we've made some awful awful choices in the past....and sometimes still to this day! Kind of like us as individuals too. Looking back I could have made better choices in certain matters, but I guess that's how you learn too!
