A snow field and a few finds...

Had to work this weekend, 0400-1200, rare but we are doing an upgrade to the simulators. It was 31F/-1C today with gusts of wind when I got out at 13:30. I detected this field on the NE side of town, it had about 5-6

Wow Mike! You are one die har hunter! Very good finds for this time of year! Kepp hunt as long as you can, Beale.

Take care of yourself Mike, Those winters were really nasty when I was there.

Bavaria Mike, nice, that is motivation! Forget about doing that here in Alberta, very severe cold here now during the day, honestly about -24'C or -11'F without wind chill and winter starts in about 8 days!! I should have moved long ago and bought land in a warmer area when I was younger, mumble, mumble...a year around mild climate is the best place to live, I do not care what anyone says.

Mike, do you hunt in Coin mode in All Metal?

Takes more gumption than I am able to muster, to wade through the snow and dig through the frost. Congrats on the finds, and your determination! Although the snow is not deep here (yet), the ground is frozen several inches and the weather guesser's say it is going to be getting much MUCH worse, soon. Ya know, the older I get, the more I hate winter. The only good thing about the cold is it gives me a chance to research sites for next year. Enjoy that snow. HH Randy

I detect in all metal mode with the sensitivity as high as possible, yesterday I had the sens maxed out. I should be using the 10.5" coil
but have a case of tennis elbow in my swing arm so I'm using the stock 9". As long as it doesn't freeze or the snow doesn't get too deep
I'll keep detecting. HH, Mike
