A simple picture taken using a common kit lens.............

Some folks complain about the kit lenses that come with the bundled camera kits, say the pictures produced by them are not very good. I have had good luck with the kit lens used to take this picture today. I used my Sony A200 DSLR with the 75-300mm F4.5/5.6 kit lens, manual mode, settings of F7.1 at 1/640 sec., ISO at 100, lens at 280mm mark, and used a tripod. This has been a good kit lens for me, has produced some good pictures. I also have a 18-70mm F3.5/5.6 kit lens that has not been a very good lens for me, and I seldom use it.

A neighbor has a patch of these flowers growing in her back yard and she gave me several of them. Kelley (Texas) :)

VERY NICE photo. I like the way the background went out of focus making the subject stand out. Of all the lens I have the 18-200 is my favorite. It is on my camera 95% of the time. I worked a golf tournament yesterday and took the 18 -200, 70-200 f2.8, and 300mm. I took 2 photos with the 300mm and the rest with the 18-200, it is so versatile.
