I relick hunt in all metal , its way deeper i also found slowing down the sweep can better pipont the target , found and old stove part hope i can find the old dump or a coin

Good video !!!! thanks for having us along !!!!

where did you get it? Looks like that 5" coil has some good depth. I like your idea on the plastic jug to bounce back the sound, think I'll try that. I mostly use headphones but when I'm out in the brush I don't like the phones because of snakes. Thanks for sharing. HH John

I got it from Mission metal detectors in coon rapids MN, its the standard gold bug and its just as deep as the pro . I can hit a nickle at 10" in the all metal and its not an iffy signal silver is less deep i sopose because of the frequency, i get dimes at 7" and soft signal 8"in all metal disq mode a dime loud strong signal at 4" and soft a t 5" and a wisper at 6"

like i say I was amazed that in all metal i could hit a nickle at 10" deep with a good sound , this disq mode is average depth, and it loves gold , very sensitive to gold not silver , dont get one thinking you will find deep silver its not going to happen , very avreag depth on silver , but gold it hits very hard and you will dig tabs and foil at least i do , you can disq out the foil but if a ring is under the disqed item you will not hear it it will mask as all detectors

I feel you are in the vicinity of the old home Gunnar as you are always finding house related items ( silverware, stove parts, etc) Keep at it bro one of these days you will find something other than iron and I hope you get it "live" on camera. I feel this way as there is more then just that one seated dime in the area. My philosophy is this: if I find one old coin at a site, I am bound to find more. (every site that I have ever hunted and found at least one old coin, be it a wheat or IH cent or a silver dime, more has always followed) And the same will happen for you too. You have persistence and it will pay off. Look forward to your video productions - Jim

Nice video! Thanks for sharing.

Jim it will be as you say , thanks for the prophecy.

Well, I am certainly not a prophet but from things I have experienced over the years in the field, you are not on barren ground. You proved this to me just a little while back with the indian head cent you found. Keep at it bro - Jim

do you mean the magnet , its a neodimium magnet in fact two together under a bottle cap , plastic of course and taped on it really sucks up all metal bits fast K& J magnets sells the magnets

No, I'm asking about your shovel or scoop. Did you make it or did you purchase it? It's neat looking. Please elaborate.

Thanks
David

DSea that is a 18" wilcox trowel, stainless steel andthey are wonderfull you can get them for about 15.00 right on the fourum look at some of the sponsors , under digging tools

Nice video, I love relic hunting, you never know what you might dig up.
:clapping:
I've also heard the gold bug does better in iron than the F75, but not as deep on coin size targets.

mark i like the all metal of the gold bug , its deep and if I ground balance to a chunk of basalt it even starts getting deep on silver coins, I really do like this machine . its depth is not impressive on disq mode with the 5" coil I would say about 5" on a dime but cold rocks will maks coins in disq but its all metal can slice right thru the cold rocks and hit a good target, I hope to hunt a river crossing that is loaded with basalt stones and see what it gets, all metal
