A short hunt and GOLD finally

Old Katz

New member
Went to a base ball diamond that has been hunted before (by me) and
maybe a few other people. The ground was very quiet since most everything had been
picked out. There were only a few signals falling into the pull tab and foil range. Got
the usual junk, a couple quarters and finally a badly broken gold chain. On the Ace it
fell in between foil nickel and back and forth. When I got it home I ran the MXT over
it; it came in the 0,2,6,10 which is foil.

On the MXT, 0 through 70 is in the gold range so basically it was giving me the same reading as the Ace 250.

It doesn't look like good quallity gold however. I can't even begin to guess what karat range it is.
I toosed it into the tumbler with the two quarters; maybe it will shine up.
