At first, I thought I found an old coin, then I saw the back and thought I had a button. Now I'm all confused, really don't know what I have. I punched in "WARRENTED SUPERIOR" on the computer and came up with possibly a saddle rosette! Don't know if it's a saw screw nut or saddle rosette. Someone PLEEEEEASE make my day!!!!!!!!

Steve: I am of the habit of collecting pictures of relics just to compare shapes and to refer to. Here is one I collected about 2 years ago and it was identified as a Saw Boss. Don't dispare, it might be period.

Buckram, Dave and Butch for helping me out! After hearing your comments and seeing the link, I'm convenced it's a saw nut too Why would someone put such a nice looking eagle on a saw??? Oh well, I learn something new everyday. That's what makes this hobby so interesting. I better get back out in the field and see what else I can find. Thanks again guys!
