A Ring with Bling!

Dig

Active member
Hey guys! I just came back in from a hunt on Anna Maria Island and I found what I think is my first ring with diamonds in it. Granted if they are diamonds they are chips but, what the heck do I care. It is gold (14k to be exact) and I am loving it. It is also a very wide ring (albeit not quite as heavy as the wedding band I posted the other day). Maybe you guys can tell from the markings (it has this strange marking after 14k) what exactly it is or isn't. I leave it for your review. A big thanks to everyone who takes an interest in my hunts and the development of my hunting skills, without you guys I wouldn't be able to do any of this. And for those of you taking notes this ring was found in the dry sand near a beach entrance/exit path. It was about 8" in the sand and looks to have been there a while. I look forward to your comments!! -Dig

Man, you are on fire!!!! Way to go!!!!

like a gold test kit, diamond tester and scale

Yeah we counted the other night...it has 24 stones in it. I have no idea what this thing is worth...if anything. LOL but I sure like lookin at it.

Dig... I...am...going...to...mu... NICE FIND :ranting: !!!

Keep stealing my bling and I might have to get physical :starwars:

I confess, it is fun seeing that smile on your face when you find something awesome. Maybe that is why I don't find any jewelery.:twodetecting:

Just an update....the stones turned out to be actual diamonds for those of you who are counting. Oddly enough though I learned that it was only worth the price of scrap gold? I wonder why? 24 is a lot of diamonds

AWESOME FIND , WAY BETTER THEN ALL THE PULL TABS AND RUSTY NAILS IVE BEEN FINDING AROUND THE TAMPA BAY BEACH'S, I WANT TO START GOING TO GULF BEACH'S BUT PRICE OF GAS KEEPING ME CLOSE TO APOLLO BEACH AREA . HOPEFULLY SOME OF YOUR LUCK WILL MAKE ACROSS THE BAY !!!!

I'm sure theres some value to the stones. The chips usually aren't worth allot but its the labor the jeweler puts into the mounting that makes the ring expensive. Still whoever told you that it's only worth the melt is wrong. It's worth more than the melt if you sold it as an estate piece of jewelry. You would get far over melt I'm sure of it. It's got some eye appeal not that I'd ware it or anything, but it looks nice.
