A RING THAT MADE MY DAY

Just purchased a new detector and went to the local school to test it out,a teacher approaches me and asks if i found anything so i told her i had just got there, she then tells me a little girl in her class lost a ring a year ago and she was devastated because her grandmother had given it to her,i told her i would do my best to find it but it would be tough, but sure enough my very last dig there it was!!unbelievable. i was so excited i didn't even get a pic.the teacher wasnt there so i gave it to another one and he said the girl is gonna be so excited...thought i would share my story,it made my day

Can you be really sure that was the same ring that the girl lost? it might have been another ring from a different person! Parent teacher conference's, back to school night, sports activities that adults attend etc; Hopefully it was the same ring and yes, if it was the girl will be thrilled (and so will grandma)!!!!!

Yea,the ring was exactly as described.it was a mom ring with birthstones...I wish I could see the little girls face when it is returned to her.

Good story and great when that sort of thing happens. Way to go!

Good job!:clapping:

Good story! I once was asked to find a farmers grandfathers wedding band that was lost for decades. Took me an hour, but found it and returned to thevtearful farmer. He then tasked me to find another from a seasonal worker. Took 15 mins for that one. He was happy and mailed the ting back to its owner.
Good feeling to do something nice for someone, especially to see a grown farmer tear up!
Congrats and great deed!

What a great story with happy end! You will never forget the ring!

Best wishes, Jürgen
