A RING IS A RING

Left home this a.m. with a goal for a gold ring.By 2:30 p.m.,almost gave up,I knew I was in a hot spot, found a 14k wedding ring there last year.I was hunting next to a closed down community pool, established in the 1930's,closed in 2009.Had a grassy area for towels or blankets next to the pool, this area is a pull tab graveyard, running in Larry's settings. After an apron full of pulltabs and corroded pennies,I was spent, took a deep breath, there has to be more rings here......BANG...that familiar tone again, looked at my watch ,4:30 p.m. Probably another pull tab,but the dc phase is holding, this could be a ring.4 inces down lay the prize, dug it,and it was what my DFX said it was a ring..So happy ,not a gold ring, just a nice 925,but a ring is a ring. 6 rings this year,no gold, but is this fun or what?

THANKS FOR LOOKING

6 rings in 9 weeks is killing it! congratulations!!

That's still a nice ring even if it is just Sterling. Do you think the stones are valuable? Since you've found so many, do you scrap them or keep them on display? I've found two sterling rings, but neither of mine had stones and weren't as nice as that one. I'll probably scrap them one of these days. Congrats on hanging in there until the end. It paid off!

I've never sold any of my finds. The stones were intact, but not real,Usually sterlings don't have real diamonds,or none I have found..I just hold onto them, for sharing with family and friends. My best ring is on the KELLYCO TREASURE FINDS "MY DFX IS A JEWELRY MAGNET",THE RING SHOWCASED ON THAT SITE IS MY BEST FIND,IT APPRAISED FOR $6000.00.The 3 years I have been a THer,has been very rewarding, have over a hundred rings,30 or so gold,50 or so sterling, the rest junk types, but all the other stuff, that comes with detecting,I couldn't tell you what all I have found, probably like you.It is all valuable to me ,I intend to keep it all and maybe showcase the finds in a book.the relics, from old homesites, coins and jewelry and artifacts,in 3 years I would have never imagined...but mason jarr, i do go 4 or 5 times a week and yes I am dedicated to it,and my passion to uncover and find keeps me planning and researching, and most of all swinging the coil.this is the true success, the time I spend swinging the coil..
Thanks for your words and for looking, hope you the best, and enjoyment that I get out of this passion of mine....

I hope I can get this good. I probably just pass them up though cause I'm a rookie and get sick of trash lol. I will get better :) I haven't hit enough spots to get discouraged. Cool find!
