too beat to post sunday and been kinda rapped up in family things lately.:|
anyhow,me and garv met up with brandy and Scott and decided to hit the new celler hole.my mission was to retrieve that pinpointer i lost two weeks before but i knew it was gonna be a tough because i was meandering all over the place that day.
it is a quarter mile hike on hilly roads just to get in and that aint too fun on the old pins.i left the boys at the button hole and commensed another quarter mile to the spot i jumped into 2 weeks ago.well i tried to find my entry but i couldn't be sure[too thick]and after a half an hour i was at the button hole, but i didn't bump into the guys...oh oh!!
i doubled back and finally located the hole and the guys, but i wasn't gonna give up on finding that pinpointer.Garv had found a copper right off the bat and scott was scanning the yard next to a little stream.Brandy was about another 70 feet away scopin' the rock pens that were all over the area.
so offs i go over all the granite rock formations and little streams when i come to a spot i kinda remembered.so i stopped for a bit of a scope then i saw the first snake.....EEEEEEWWWWW!!!
yuck but i'll get a picture.after that i looked to my right about 6 feet another one.:Oo.k. time to move one,i turn around and another bigger garder snake was 7 feet directly behind me.!!!!!
man this is gross but i aint loosin' no $70 buck pinpointer to man or beast.i looked for another hour or so but gave up in disgust and decided to meet up with the guys at the celler.
bye the time i got back the celler had already''settled down''in hits ,so we moved back to the buttonhole.
my legs are killing me by now from all the extra back and forths for me but i needed to give it a shot at least and get alittle time in hunting with our new friend and guest Brandy.
we met up at the top of the hill for a snack and garv gave me some of his power bar.well let me tell you my body does NOT like health food.my stomach went into spasms and the old ''cappachino hustle ''was starting to knock on the back door.
[sorry Bobbie and all the more sophisticated folks here],but i was in pain and there was no t.p.:cry:i held in as best i could for the rest of the hunt, but i was having the shakes and cramping like mad.
so this is the reason why i didn't take to many pics,i was just standing there half the time afraid of moving.
i didn't even get a shot of brandy the whole time,so i hope he comes back up to hang so i can get some shots while we're out in the field next time.:(sorry Brandy, please come up again!!
heres the pics i do have before the old bannana powerbar ramba.

btw i did make the whole day,til i got to Scotts house.

We'll have to do it again soon befor the leaves and fields get plowed and planted. We should hit the field were we first meet up befor they put in more house there.I had a great time and hoping to do it again soon.

Had a great time, especially nice meeting Brandy. Sorry we had to hike so far buddy! Hope ta do it again. Nothing beats hangin with the guys and diggin a few buttons and a coin or two. The weather was spectacular and not so many ticks, just snakes but only girls are scared of those.hehehe By the way Todd, a sock is always a quick way to fix any problems in an emergency situation like yours.

What do you think the indians used.......there was no "Charmin" in those days!!

i aint scared if i see em first.:yikes:there were 7,yes 7 snakes thoughout my quest for my pinpointer.:wave:they just found me.
can i christen the chum bucket with a bud bar bottle??;)
