100 year old church....still plenty of frost in the ground. I should just put everything back in the closet for another month...lol. Both targets were shallow..4 inches. I think the ring is gold-plated at best.

Dont put nuttin back in the closet Dave, I think U are gonna do good this year. Especially around the area your job is located. Cant help but still laugh about your post on how U feel about winter sucks:rofl: Nice finds for the land of 10 thousand lakes....

We wanna see some old silver from the Northern swamps that was cached during the Indian wars early in the 1900's when all the Swedes scuttled to the Cities for a while..you'll find it!

It beats 27 cents.

wow ! awesome finds Dave. That makes me want to fire up my ace 250 now. I saw you were at a church ? Do you always have to ask permission to hunt those ? Thanks
Andrew

Nice finds, Dave. That's a beautiful old church. I hope to post my pictures of my buffalo's next week. 1924 has me beat tho. Mine are 1937 and 1938. That ring is nice with the stones in it. Thanks for posting.

Andrew, because this particular church belongs to the township it sits in, I did'nt neccessarily have to ask. But I tracked down the current caretaker and asked her if she minded. She said that technically she could'nt tell me no because it's public property. And that "some guy years ago cleaned it out"....lol.....just goes to show you that no place is ever hunted out. I will be returning on saturday or sunday to look some more.

From the land of the Bluenose.....the church does indeed look old. Here they have a habit of putting the grave yards right next to the older churches......won't hunt them if the graves are there.

The cemetary is 200 feet behind the church. The buffalo was found about 8 feet to the right of the steps and the ring was on the opposite side of the church. I certainly don't hunt over graves.

I think once the ground thaws in your area you are going to "clean up". Between this and the necklace you found earlier all I have to say is WOW!. What a great way to start the year out. WTG.
