Got my chores all done after Church, per the boss, you guys know, stuff like vacuuming, dusting, dumping waste baskets, and the like, so had a couple hour window before youngest son and his two hounds get here from Nashville late this afternoon and headed off to and old high school. Was finding some fairly recent drops, a few deeper dimes and 2 deeper wheat cents when I got one of those faint hits with the depth meter showing 8" with readings up to the mid 80's. Found the 43 Mercury in a clod of mud and it had to be all of 7" deep. Man, I love those faint whimpers of the A T. Have a joy full holiday everyone. HH jim tn

Jim you're wearing those Mercs out. I started to head out to Silver Park, but I went to the ole home site instead to see if I could find a gold coin.

Good for you Mud. Oh, I have a ice chisel from my Mn ice fishing days around here some where you can use if you would like. Just let me know. Its not the best clad stabber and does weighs about 10 lbs, but it will dig a deep hole in ice. HH jim tn

You always get your silver, Jim!
Merry Christmas to you and to all - Hope you can get a few swings in! :detecting:

WTG on the mercury dime. I love the little whisper on the At/Pro when it finds something good and it's deep. Today is an excellent day to go dirt fishing, but Mama is sick and I have to stay home. The ground is nice and saturated after it's rained all night and I have some spots close to home I would like to detect. Hoping and praying somebody on this forum will find a gold coin before the end of the year. I just got a feeling.

Great finds, nice silver :clapping:

It's funny, a quickie in Spanish (un quiqui) is something you are looking for, fast, pleasant with one or more holes and you about the glory and leaves you Exhausted ... as in English
Sorry ...
