I had about an hour before I met up with my Archeologist friend this evening so I hit a local field. My only find other than a few pieces of junk was a piece of lead splatter, probably run off from a musket ball. I

Very interesting Mike. Thanks for sharing the pics and the historical account. I know how much enjoyment I get from studying the history of this "modern area", and can only imagine the satisfaction you get from living in an area such as yours.
