100 year old church....still lots of frost in the ground....targets were shallow.. 4 and 5 inches.
 
Nice Buffalo nickel there McDave, wonder if it has an 'S' mintmark,could be worth some bucks:thumbup: Oops: got that one wrong 1926-S is the key date.
 
It's just a 1924...no mintmark. Heck, I'm happy when I find a Buffalo with a readable date.

I like the patina on your Buffalo, mine are usually 'rusty' looking, with flakes coming off of them. Yours looks great, would'nt do a thing to clean that one.
 
There is a church identical to that one up the road here.
It sets right next to a 18th and 19th cent. cemetery.
