There are several types which are available. As long as you have that adapter for the AT Series for a regular 1/4" headphone ack it should be no problem.
I use wireless earbuds so I can wear a wide brimmed hat, pretty sunny down here in New Mexico. I bought the Garrett adaptor, and then a set of wireless Auvio ear buds and a Koss in-line volume control (necessary to turn off the built-in speaker on the ATs) on eBay and a sturdy gold plated 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor at Radio Shack (or any electronics store). There is a fraction of a second lag which took a little getting used to, but my ears have adjusted and I love being wireless now. It's a real treat in some of the brushy areas that I hunt!! And, just in case I meet any female detectorists, I fancy that it gives me that "Indy Jones" look
Hmmm, maybe a bad adapter, GGG? I'm getting sound out of both sides- I believe all the parts I bought are stereo - 1/4" adapter, volume control, and, of course, the earbuds.
