A question for other humble F2 users....

Anyone else used the 10" concentric on a modern nickle close up (under three inches deep?)

When I do, it reads as

I
R
O
N

I even changed the batteries (I had one bar left) and checked my coil connector.

The 8" coil reads it fine at 33-34.

Do I have a defective coil, or is the F2 not programmed right for this coil?

P.S.

I found my first "War Nickle" today, using the F2 and the 8".

It's a 1945D..... slightly used.

I will sell it for ten times the spot price, if you pay for shipping...lol.

Just a wild guess is the coil is OK, the F2 isn't programed for the coil= I may be wrong/but i don't think so:detecting:

That was my suspicion too.

It's the 10" coil they include in the larger package deal.

On the + side it still gets more depth and hits on silver hard if you don't
have other "trash" under the coil to confuse it.
