A question for Minelab about broken coil

Treasurechic

Well-known member
I was wondering if Minelab will still honor replacing a coil under warranty that recently broke while i was tightening the bolt to the stem. The catch is I wanted to use the coil and made a home repair thinking It was my neglegence and was Not covered unaware that that type of problem is somewhat common with these coils and IS covered. what should I do? obviousely I would like to have the coil replaced but will the repair void the warranty?

Your best bet is to contact them directly as the forum is owned by Finds Electronics not Minelab.

I guess your right about contacting them directly, I was just hopeing to get some opinions on the matter.

Contacted Minelab and they said to send the coil in for replacement. Just goes to show you dont panic and assume its not covered because it could very well be.
