A question for 15 " WOT users

I've only had my WOT for a week, so experience limited.
I've not been able to run any higher than MANUAL SENS 24. I often use DEEP RESPONSE.
Stability where I hunt is achieved at 18 - 22
I run in both IM and Discrim with almost open screen.
The WOT's very sensitive, and picks up signals from a wide area, including the same 'depth' above the coil as below, + your digger if its not behind your back.
On air test I found average 1-2" deeper than standard coil. I did not buy the WOT for depth advantage, but to cover more ground without loss of sensitivity to smaller items.
I stand as ever to be corrected, but I think there is an 'overload' point where too many signals are trying to be processed at once, with an inevitable instability as a result.
If you switch out DEEP & FAST you remove an extra processing task, this speeds up clearing signal response and aids stability.
Similarly the more discrimination that needs processing, the slower the response to a new target.
I'm happier running at SENSE MANUAL 18 - 22, Iron Mask - 14 / 15 and retaining a steady thresh-hold.
Prefer to go by the Audio response as opposed to the cross-hairs.
SENS has more effect on stability than any other setting.
For me the other settings are to do with Audio & how signals are heard.
Dunno if this helps...

Thanks for your response JP.
You are right about the digging tool having to be distant form your coil when searching.
I have to admit that I originally got 15" WOT to cover more area and getting more depth would have helped if it happend.
I'll just keep my DEEP & FAST off and be happy with what I can get.
