A productive hunt, civil war era token

I made it out this evening and had a productive hunt. I was thinking about what Larry had mentioned about all the other items we have to recover in order to come up with a couple of special ones and so I have included a picture of pretty much the finds in total. Most of the those not so special items have now found their way into my recycling bin..

While out hunting I came upon this fungus thing growing out of the side of a tree, biggest one I have ever seen.

I discovered this approximately six inch long cylindrical object with a smoothly tapered end and hollow, any ideas what it is?

The best finds of the day were a small medal of some sort I am not sure what it signifies, and an 1864 George T. Hussey

I think it is used on a canon to adjust the elevation. Civil war era?
