A pretty good day

Got out for a bit and I was rewarded with some nice silver! Had a blast! I'm still waiting for those barbers to start showing up though :/

Nice job DOG!

Haha! Thanks for all the kind words. I think you guys might have just coined my new nick name  it's funny I actually just used my last name, first initial and the name of my first pet (pronounced Dee O Gee) and came up with Neicebdog. Maybe I'll have to change my user name :)

Good finds Dawg. Maybe a different user name to consider LOL

It was a good day! Congrats!!

Are you using the 6" coil, hunting parks, trashy areas?? What program/s do you usually run, sensitivity, etc.?

I was using the stock coil (saving for a 6") hunting primarily old homes and curbs in my area (30 mile radius). I'm using different settings depending on the spot but I most frequently run combined, ferrous coin, deep on, auto +3, I'm running a high tone from 39 and up and also a high tone for nickles from 11-15. Semi high tone for 16-38. Using slightly modified coin discrimination preset. Very similar to gone hunting's settings. Second screen is open and I use my user programmable button to change over to a 50 CO with line 35 disc out, high trash, fast on, deep off. The main thing I do though? Go slow. Be thorough. I rarely hunt parks in my area because there really aren't any old parks here in the boise area. There's a couple downtown but they're still 1900 and up and not very big. Hope I can get some pics of my setting on here soon.

Nice assortment of Mercs and wheats. If you're hitting Mercs in the 20's, you're bound to pull out a Barber soon. HH Randy

Thanks for the encouragement digger. Yeah, I've pulled wheats from the teens consistently, and Mercs just about every time out, just no luck with them barbers yet.... And certainly no seated.
