Looking at Craig's list after dinner tonight,a posting got my attention....Lost Ring
I replied by email and got a quick response if i could come out tonight...only minutes from the beach i meet Jennifer and her boy friend 30 minutes later at the beach.....we went to the beach chairs and i checked around the area, after finding nothing around the chairs,we moved the chairs over..a couple of tabs later the ring was in my hand....forgot my camera, but got an emailed pic as soon as i got home from her with an address request for a thank-you gift....Love It.....HH GL

Putting that ad in Craigslist was gutsy as many would have gone there to find it and keep it for themselves.

I have had several people over the years ask me to find a ring that they had lost while at the beach. I always have been able to find it for them and it sure does the heart good to
return a cherished object that means so much to them. Way to go!

Came home for lunch and a FedEx package was on the porch....How cool, and true to her word I received this Bonsai plant as a thank-you gift for finding her ring.....Something that will remind me of this experience a lot longer than money....I'll admit what alot of you are thinking..."yeah,till it dies"....but I have a number of plants that I've had for over 40 years, their cactus of course, and i have managed to kill a few of them, but this one has a very good future.....She also updated the post on CL http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/laf/3261066226.html

Hey Mud,this being a major vacation destination...there are lots of lost jewelry posts in the summertime, even a few with " will find " with my MD postings...and like FK said, its a gutsy move to post a lost item on there (I will say she did not say the exact local other than than SPB, and beach rental chairs are lined up there for miles.)I think about the trust and hope this person is putting in me,i could very easily say "nope can't find it,sorry" and go back and retrieve it later. I have seen postings with the exact area a ring was lost and found as many as four MDers there at sunup and then later in the day i heard of several others that were there....Its like telling a good fishing spot in the paper, every YAHOO with a boat will be there the next day!!
