A pic and info on the new Garrett pinpointer - the Pro-Pointer..

This is a no motion all metal, microprocessor controlled pointer with both audible and vibrating alerts that increase in intensity the closer it gets to the target, maintains maximum sensitivity, needs no tuning or adjustments, just a simple on/off switch, has side-scan capability, LED light, sifter blade, drop out/drop in battery change, powered by one nine-volt alkaline that lasts 30 hours, has audible low battery alert, operates at 12 khz which makes it sensitive to small targets, depth of two inches plus, can be used in the rain and washed off under a faucet, is waterproof up to just below the speaker, can be detuned just like your detector, is tough as a tank, and comes with a nifty and rugged holster. Size is 9 inches in length by 1.5 inches in diameter and weighs a mere 7 ozs. Will handle mineralization and salt satrurated sand. It does not interfere with your detector as some pointers do. And it's made in the U.S.A.

It can also be used to scan walls and ceilings for studs, pipes, nails, etc.

I tested the proto a month or two ago and have been testing the production model for the past couple of weeks and this is one dandy little gadget that is easy to operate and is ergonomically handy and appealing. Garrett has a winner here.

Price?

From what I have seen, pinpointers are ALL over priced.
Maybe If I had money to burn.
I hope somebody comes out with a pinpointer that doesn't make your money disappear.

Just my opinion. It looks like a good one.. but can I afford it?
