A Park, A Soccer Field and a wheatie

I went to a park and then a soccer field. No jewelry. I did find a 1958 d wheat. I found $5 at the soccer field. Total for the day; 82 coins for $7.82.
Hey you done good bud. Now I really feel bad after my shi%%y day.

Bill
Yo Bill, just remember, a "bad" day of detecting is better than a "good" day of work.

Looks like you found a spot that hasn't been hit for a while. Last scoccer field I went to I found plenty but had to dig for it. Not much on top. Makes me wonder if people aren't using the right machine or something........

Sounds like you cleaned the place out?
There is a Soccer field near me that I hit three times in a row.
Its a huge area with several different fields and baseball diamonds on it.

Irony is that there is another field down the way from me connected to
a Church. I am hard pressed to find a damn thing there! Don't see any
signs that anyone else had been digging there either.

I could see where someone else had been there digging, unless they were
ghoper holes, whoever it was left the place a mess. I asked permission to
hunt it, and each of the three days walked away with two or three dollars
is coins. I used my 4.5 coil.
Actually, let me amend that. I went back one more day with the 6.5x9
coil and came out with about .70 cents and a match box airplane.

I have to wonder what kind of metal detector the other person/persons was useing
or how long back they were there?

Hope you find some more loot.
I have NEVER found a wheat Cent yet. They are about as scarce as Indian Heads now.

Regards
Robert Roy
Nah, not even. I only made to passes along the parking lot. I went by one Saturday and could see that is where the people sit. As our famous Governor says, I'll Be Back.:detecting:
