Well, after spending 2 hours dorking with the Ground Balance of the Classic, I finally got it to a point I could live with...Do not try to adjust that little Pot inside the machine...Do the MOD and bring the pot to the control housing...Makes life so much easier...The White's is Dead On when it comes to pinpointing, but learning the different sounds is proving hard for me...I LIKE my LCD readout...But the White's has it's own qualities...It is deep seeking "Go Deep or Go Home"...it is consistent on it's tones...Some of the cons are that it hits the hardest on Zinc Pennies unfortunately...Screw Caps and Copper sound the same...some pull tabs sound like good targets...All in all, I like the 2 machines I have now (Land Star and White's Classic II) for different reasons, and use them for different purposes...I think the Classic would make a superb beach machine, especially with the MODs done on it...
Anywho, here are my finds from the 2 hour hunt last night...$1.95 in clad and a 2006 Disney collectors pin (Pirate's of the Caribbean I think):
