What a beautiful day here in NE Iowa! I took my Equinox 600 out and headed to a picked bean field. I ended up with four silvers. A Barber quarter,a seated dime and two barber dimes. Also a V nickle,3 Indians and a couple of wheat cents. And check out the bullets! That was cool as I like finding relics too. I also got kicked out of the field by the owners son. He did not know me and said his dad was in the shop at home. He said no one was allowed in there due to people dumping trash. I showed the kid the junk I picked up and he said That I could finish my pass and go see his dad. He also thanked me for picking up the junk. I headed out about 4 miles and found his dad in the shop. He gave me permission to hunt years ago and we talked as I showed him the trash I found. He told me that I could go ahead and hunt the property as we renewed our acquaintances. It never hurts to talk to the landowners once in a while. I also showed him the tile flags I carry in my truck and I told him if I see a rock sticking out in the field that I mark it with the flag. He thought that was a great idea! Good luck and HH! Ted

Glad you left and made the connection again. Great idea on the flags for marking rocks !! That’s a super hunt right there. Was there any old structures that use to sit in the area ?

Thanks fellas! I also try to carry some extra Gatorade, water, and pop in my cooler bag. A farmer usually appreciates something cold to drink especially if it's warm out. The site is around 40 acres. It used to be a race track from 1890 till around 1917. I am going back tomorrow for round 2!

Wow that place must be a silver mine!!

Better look over your shoulder and make sure you’re not being followed…… thats some nice coinage you brought up to the daylight!

Awesome finds Ted great variety there …
