Hi all,

Last year I got my first Type I SLQ just a few houses down the block, today I got my second. Both are 1917 no mint mark, but in quite nice shape. Any time you dig an early SLQ with a date is a good thing, got my pile of no date slugs. For some reason my good ones are all 1917s.

Dug a 1899 Barber quarter Sunday, so far this year have 2 Barbers, 2 SLQs, and 1 Washington, about time for a seated.

Will post pics when I get access to a camera.

Chris

For the less-coin-informed- The Standing Liberty Quarter was first minted in 1916. The woman on the obverse (Ms Liberty) breast was exposed and the public raised a stink. Part way through the mintage in 1917 the design was changed. Kind of a neat historical tidbit.
