First one for this year and my oldest coin so far for 2016 which is an early record for me.
Still trying out some new settings and utilizing some observations about my F70 that worked at other sites so yesterday I went back to another old site to try them
A very small area that I have hunted many times over and over where in the past I found a few Indians old wheats but after going over it time and time again from several directions I suspected I was done.
Not so, this was the only target I found but it was a great one.
I have worked hard to get to the 6" area around here in this bad soil to ID good targets where anything past 5" is usually a gift.
This one was more like 7" which might be why I missed it before...all the others I found here were 5-6".
That one inch might not seem like much but in this environment it is huge and could net me a lot more this year if I can repeat this feat.
This is why I keep pushing that envelope and keep experimenting and learning new things...that will never end.

Nice Indian !

Very nice greenie! You are so correct 1" in extra depth can make all the difference. You and your F70 are quite the team!
