I have been walking the fields the last few times out and have come across some interesting finds. Not the mid 1800's goodies I was hoping for but still fun finds. The axe heads might be from the 1800's but I just don't know much about old axes. These suckers are heavy and big and appear to be hand forged, but that is just a guess. I found a third one that was broken but it is still out in the field somewhere. These were found where I think a blacksmith once was. The brass knob thing above the left one might be the top off of a cane...
The other picture is finds found mostly at a house site from the 1880's to mid 1950's and that includes a early 1900's British LC, no date, a 1905 IH and a 1927 wheatie. A couple of early International Harvester tokens, a small school bell, pocket knife, key and a squashed friendship ring has been about it at this place. The two tokens were found across the street at an old school that is still being used by renters today.
