A new way to reach those inaccessible hunting grounds:biggrin:

A good mate of mine, Glenn, had one too many boats and has given me the use of one of his spare boats in exchange for me fixing her up a bit. The 15 hp Mercury outboard I completely overhauled in my backyard, the old rotting toe rails I stripped off and replaced, the hull and topsides are repainted and all the brightwork has been sanded and revarnished. This work has eaten up a lot of my time over the past month but I finally finished her today. Plumbago is a 16 foot punt that my mate Glenn built 30 years ago, he pulled the form for the hull off of a 150 year old boat and now she will take me to beaches that I can't get to by land.
All beaches in Bermuda are public domain up to the high watermark but getting to some beaches is difficult without a boat because you would have to cross private property to get to them.:nono: Now I will be able to cruise up to old hotel beaches that have been shut down and do a little looting.:super: There are several old hotels in Bermuda that have been shut down in the past decade and the grounds lie empty behind the chainlink fencing and the 'No Trespassing' signs. These beaches are now open to me and I hope to score some nice old loot as soon as the sand begins to clear.
