A new truck today!!!...

...Im back for vacation...Didnt get much detecting done;my back was givin me fits....BUT,I DID GET A NEW TRUCK...A 2006 Chevy 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive...My old truck has 190,000 miles on her;my Mercury has 105,000 - So;being my old truck has started nickel and dimin me right and left;and the Mercury probably not far behind;I took the plunge-Been checkin out the Big 3 all this week...Best deal from GM...only about$100.00 more a month for the new one over the Mercury...SO;I TRADED THEM BOTH IN...DOWN TO 1 VEHICLE NOW...A REAL bonus:I wikll be saving $200.00 in insurance every 6 months with 1 new vehicle;versus 2...I looked at motorcycles,let me tell ya...But,I think the LORD convinced me I REALLY need a new truck;to haul my camper(the past 3 years I have had to alter my vacation plans when my truck-with the camper on it,in the middle of vacation;naturally-decided it needed some R and R in the nearest repair shop...It has already cost me almost $500.00 in repairs so far this year,and I was REALLY dreadin heading out on vacation the end of JULY with it...So for peace of mind, and my families'peace of mind,I decided to do it,I knew it was time...I pick her up today-THANK YOU,LORD,FOR GIVING ME THE GIFT OF DICSRENMENT,AND DOING THINGS AT THE RIGHT TIME...AMEN!!!!

I told 2 people I knew I was gettin a new truck-person#1 said"72 MONTHS??KINDA LONG,AINT IT???"The second one said "WHAT-YOU DIDNT GET 4 WHEEL DRIVE??EVERYBODY IN MICHIGAN NEEDS A 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK-2-WHEEL DRIVE JUST DONT GET IT HERE"....whatever happened to 'congratulations!!good job!!like I heard here on the Net-I just LOVE how almost everybody else out there are authoriteson anything you could do;they have a way of doing it better,cause ya did it wrong...I didnt WANT a 4 wheel drive;72 months-it IS a long time;but consider this:Some of them new custom choppers can be financed for 240 months-thats 20 YEARS...Besides;the way I care for my vehicles,it will last-I bought my dodge new in 1995-its almost 12 years old now,and STILL I got almost 1,500.00 out of her on trade-in...with 190,000 miles on her...I think it is a GREAT thing when someone can buy a new vehicle...it is JUST what I was lookin for-Its not a corvette,not flashy...I can drive it all year,unlike a cycle...This was a very sound decision-praying;agonizing,yes;no;yes...It was a quandry:Keep my older vehicles and they start going south;a chance of something going ka-pow on vacation;repairs costing more that its worth...Now;if you will excuse me;I am going to pick up my new truck...

dont associate with many people. They are always trying to tell you what to do - & rarely do they know jack about it.

listens to what others have to say about what he should or should not do then he thanks them for their input and goes and does what he thinks is best for himself. Now, I do the same with prayers and by listening to God! You can never please everyone, so please yourself with the help of Jesus! Also it isn't their money!! It's always easier to spend someone else's money
