A New Headphone Jack!

treasure dog

New member
I wished Garretts would come out with a accessories headphone jack! A one piece screw on plug headphone jack in.No wire to run.I like my AT pro great instrument! What do you think?
Joe.

I like the one they have. It gets the headphone cord out of the way, putting it behind your elbow so you're not always getting tangled up with the thing!! It takes all of 10 minutes to install their adapter and it works great!!

How do you keep the connector tight under the arm rest? That plastic clip slides when you push in the headphone connector. That will cause the wire to keep flexing.

Yes, the connector can move when you plug your phones in. I have learned to hold it while plugging in the phones. I am with Big Cat when he described having to plug your phones directly into the control box. I hate that type of setup. You are constantly pulling the detector over when you set it down. The Garrett designed it as a water unit so the headphone extension was for us land hunters. Not exactly ideal, but a very nice compromise. R.L.
