A neat story

While detecting the front yard of a very old home in a posh neighborhood, I happened to look up to see about a dozen neighbors across the street watching from their porches as I dug up coins. Soon an elderly man walked over followed by an elderly woman leading a young man who was apparently blind. After some introductory talk, I asked him if he wanted to try detecting.
Plugging in a dual audio connector so I could hear what he was hearing, we began detecting. Within minutes, we had a strong signal. I directed him to place his left toe next to the coil to mark the spot, kneel down on his right knee and take my Periscope.
He began probing in front of his toe and almost immediately got a hit. Leaving the probe in the ground as a marker, I handed him the digger and he dug around the probe. Once a plug was out, he probed with the Periscope and found a dime. You can't believe how excited he was.
We continued for about an hour and he found eleven coins, nothing of significance except several wheaties.
I don't think I have ever enjoyed hunting more than I did today. Only a Periscope could have made this possible.
Michael was visiting his grandparents and was going home tomorrow.

It's a day I'm sure you and Michael will never forget.
