A mystery ring hitting at 12-29

I was dry sand beach hunting today with my Dual Field (digging everything) and found a couple of rings. One is marked 10k and is white gold. The other has no hallmark and is a big heavy men's wedding band. It is not magnetic and when I got home I ran it in front of my Etrac and it hits a consistent 12-29. I am still a n00b at the Etrac, but maybe you Etrac experts could tell me if those numbers mean anything to help me ID the metal of the mystery ring....

nice pic and find!! looks like GOLD to me!

Interesting ring. I know 12-29 is where a gold sovereign (91.67% gold) comes in at on the ETrac. Best bet is to get it tested.

Good luck!

No mystery now! You found a good one!! Congrats!

I would take it to a jeweler and see what they say to be sure.

Here is another pic of it with different lighting:

It sort of looks like a stainless steel ring in natural light, but the ferrous numbers are too low.

What kind of # s do tungsten and titanium rings display on the etrac?

Looks a lot like the Monel rings we would make while at sea, when I was in the Navy. They would polish up real nice.
