A moment of remembrance

Tonight my wife showed me an obituary of a fellow detectorist in my area who had passed away. He spent many years detecting and collecting coins. I saw him out and about a few times when I was detecting and never went up and introduced myself. I knew from another friend who detects who this guy was. When I have gotten out to detect I had not seen him for a while and then today I saw the news that he had passed. He seemed like a really nice guy and I wished I had talked with him. I enjoy this forum and want to thank all of those who have shared their experience , their time and words of encouragement and knowledge with me. I am in my third year of detecting now. I thoroughly enjoy the hobby and look forward to each hunt. My main point in this post is that in the future I think I will be more likely to introduce myself to the others who swing the saucer thingy on a stick and also to enjoy every day and hunt even more than I do now. Sometimes we need to slow down in our busy world and remind ourselves life ls short and people people are good.
