Got out after work. went to my local favorite silver hole.
Found the Barber dime at about 4", and it was lying flat in the hole. It rang in nicely at 12/42. I thought the Barbers would come in at a higher CO value? The Mercur Dimes I've found are usually chimmming in at 12/46. I passed up four or five within 100 feet of this one at 12/42, thought they were more wheaties. I don't dig everything sometimes, because last night I was out after dark, and it was misting. This is the first Barber dime with the E-trac, so I was suprised at the FE/CO numbers. Guess I'll need to re-swing that area.
About a foot away, I got a mixture of good signals. In that hole was a 1912 V-nickle, 1899 IH, 1911 Wheatie, and another Wheatie that I can't get a date from. The area is wet soil, so the copper's really suffer here.
