A Mexican 8 Reale has a VDI of a solid...

84. This is a time warp zone as the 1837 Reale was found about 20 feet from the 1918 mercury dime. The dime was surrounded by nails, brass and tin foil, and was bouncing all over the place on the VDI. I like the sound though and dug it. The F75 is really starting to play music in my ears. I am loving it more each time I take it out.

That's a real nice piece of silver, and the Merc isn't too shabby either. Nice job. What does the flip side of the reale look like? Ron

Yes ,sounds like your starting to get to understand the language of the F75 now. Well done in finding that, amongst the Blurb.:clapping:

Ron,

Appears to be an eagle with a snake in it's mouth. (or that is what it looks like to me)

That's the Mexican symbol. I heard a story that they were looking for a location for their capital and the believed they could only settle on a spot that they would find an eagle with a snake in it's beak. When they found one it was in a swampy area, but they built there anyway. Today it's Mexico City, which has problems with building foundations due to the wet, area it's built on. Don't know if the story is true, but it is interesting. Was supposed to have been a sign from God.

Go_Rebels,

I was in Disc mode on 6, 4 tone, sensitivity about 70 (lots of weeds and stubble), notch on 1, process on PF. GB about 65. I think this is the settings that I was running. Also I had on the 6 1/2 coil. I sorta refer to this as "turbo CZ mode" as I had used a CZ since 1994 and this gives me the 4 tones of the CZ70 Pro and turbo quick processing. These two silvers were shallow compared to a nine inch Indian that I dug at the same area a couple of weeks ago. I run all metal about half the time and Disc the other. I ran the CZ the same way. It helps me keeps down the hearing fatigue when I change every so often. The Merc also had two nails come out of the same hole but you could hear the silver in between them. I thought the Reale was a can at first but had the sweet silver tone to it and when I turned 90 degrees I knew it was silver. It just seemed so "BIG". And it was. I thought it was a silver dollar when I first saw it but knew it should have been about a 90 VDI had it been a silver dollar. Forrest Gump was right, "Life is like a box of chocolates..."
