A Lunker Band

This one is from December it's 18K, 17.6 grams--biggest yet. Missed it going along a shoreline several times then heard it going up and down the same section. I think I missed it first time becasue of how much the machine "loads up" when you push the coil down into deeper water and against instead of across the waves. Won't be making that mistake again. Scale coin is a nickel.

Beautiful! Thanks for the tip. HH!

By up and down do you mean perpendicular to the beach vs. parallel? I'm assuming you are still swinging the Excal as your weapon of choice?

Cheers Mate,

BDA:cool:

PS: I'm assuming you are someplace warm and tropical, can't imagine you hunting back home at this time of year.

That would be the Aqua. Have a very hard time deciding which PI. to use these days--the Aqua and the Dual Field both perform well.

That's a massive wedding band Clive. Apart from wedding bands what are the heaviest rings you dig in the US ?. In the UK coin rings are still popular set with either a gold sovereign or half sovereign. We also have very large keeper rings that can go 1 oz plus. but very rare you here of them being dug these days. Problem with the UK is even most wedding bands are only 9 carat
