Ran into a local police officer in the next town while i
had the dog at the park.. he knows me from :detecting: there
and that i got the ok from the Chief and city mngr.. anyway
he told me about a fellow that was picked up for tresspassing
while :detecting: seems this guy was on property that i had
inquired about with the owner and was told sorry no ... it had a
couple of real old foundations on it ..but such is life. I just hope the
story doesnt make the newpapers ...

I dont know what all the guy can be charged with but even if its just a
$ fine it aint good... Makes us all look bad .. and i get enuff strange
looks as it is ..sometimes even when Im :detecting:

Food for thought maybe ....

SPRING IS SPRINGIN!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping:

It only takes one idiot to ruin it for the rest of us. You can be sure that the landowner will never change his mind now.

The property owner must have thought the guy detecting was you and you detected anyway knowing he said no.
He must of just "assumed" that guy detecting on his property was the guy he just said no to. It probably infuriated the property owner to the point he pressed charges rather that accepting a warning being given to the guy detecting.

Bad luck and circumstance.
best to secure permission.
