A lot of hours.. Not enouph coins....

I put in a lot of hours today on the E-trac. The machine worked and sounded great.. But for all the hours I put in, I only pulled 7 old coins from the park.
Don't get me wrong.. I get happy just finding wheat cents.. I Just wish i could have walked away with a little more.. But that's how the amazing sport goes.
I switched back and forth between the 10x12 and the 12x15 SEF. The 12x15 really performs on the E-trac.. Turns your machine into a big vacuum cleaner HAHA you wont miss much with that baby! I was able to pull 4 wheats, 1 1888 V nickel. a cool little 1903 foreign coins. Plus a good looking 1914 Barber dime.. All the coins sounded great. All the coins were DEEP. Except for the v nickel.. it was only about 4 inches. All the iffy broken hits turned out to be nails. Anyways.. I am exhausted and going to bed HAHA back at it again Friday.. Thanks for looking everyone!

Thanks for the pictures Darrell! Congratulations on the finds and thanks for the story too! I've never seen anything like your coin in the middle right. It does say United States of America doesn't it? Hope someone sheds some light on it...that's very interesting. Man, that Barber is in good shape!

Great finds and I know what you mean about wanting more return on time investment sometimes. I have those days fairly often haha. Great finds!

As far as the 1903 coin that NebTrac asked about, that's a US minted coin from the Philippines. Looks like a 1 centavo to me. Cool!

If you think that's bad then you should try hunting old sites in the woods. Sometimes I can go weeks without finding 1 coin!

You hunt in parks, correct? I have yet to take my E-Trac to any parks...

Nice hunt again my friend.

It's like swinging a weighted garbage can lid:bouncy:...but brother it covers some ground and goes deep doing it.:)

great finds! I have yet to find anything good at a park with my etrac........I keep trying but 95% of my hunting is at old houses, a lot of them are places I hunted before with my xterra

Real nice coins Derrell !

Thanks Everyone.. Goes4ever.. I would like to hunt more house sites.. We usually save them for the fall.. The E-trac seems to be doing really well in the parks.. I am not finding piles of coins.. But I pounded all the parks I am hunting with the Explorer SE for 2 years. I missed some items :detecting:
