A look at the makro racer 2 with 5 inch coil ,Deus 11 coil

I bought the racer 2 so I would have a smaller coil choice to select from and after reading RAVE reviews by some people I got one and to my utter dissapointment it has not been that impressive in iron at all. I will have another video up will the nails turned long ways later and you will see in it too that it doesnt do that great. WARNING to all makro users you better watch your swing speed its not forgiving at all a smidge to fast and the targets gone. The racer does good on montes nail board test where all the iron is on the same plane as the coin but when you elevate the iron above it ,it goes down hill very quick. So for all the rave reviews of this machine....:ranting:

My experience exactly calabash. I wrote the OOR coil up to hype and misinformation. One of the worst coils I had ever tried in my opinion. Yes, if you hunt at a snails pace then it might workout OK. Snails pace just isn't the way I hunt. Too old and too many places to hunt.

I got a video on Youtube trying to hit a quarter at 5" in iron infested dirt. Nothing with the 5" but I could hit it with the 11" Deus and even the E-Trac.

you know some are gonna call it skewed and I aint being fair so forth and so forth. I would like to rant about all the RAVE reviews I read about this machine but I will REFRAIN from it. I had high hopes and what a let down. I learned a big lesson with this one take all those rave reviews with a grain of salt. The racer 2 needs a new home im disowning it and for all the rave reveiwers that made me spend my hard earned money this is what yhall need. :punch: btw it is a snails pace really and the key word is MIGHT in that statement.

First I want to make clear that I am in no way doubting your results. What my concern is, did you put enough time on this machine to attack this "nail test" from all angle and different settings combos. I am not a racer fan as I had the original racer and thought the same as you, just a bunch of hype over a mediocre machine. I recently purchased the racer 2 to give it another shot. I do not have much time at all on the Racer2 so I can in no way dispute your findings, just wondering if you put enough time on it to make a real informed decision. To be fair, I really do not think you spent enough time on the CTX3030 before you gave up on it. BUT I do also realize that a person can usually tell within a short time whether the machine they are using is a good fit for the type of hunting they do.
Like I said, I am not trying to take a shot at you because I have seen your many post and videos and know you are not a newbie by any means and do know your way around detectors just wondering how much actual time you had on the machine.

This proves two things,
You are correct about the deus being the best machine in trash and secondly nail board tests are a waste of time.Good videos.
