A Lone Barber And Some Coin Shooting

Sooper Dave

Well-known member
Friday I went back to a place I found a few pieces of silver and an Indian last week. There is a beautiful old tree standing where a house used to be and has got to be 200 years old.(my kiddos are under it in the photo) I focused on the old grown over gravel driveway and I got a really good dime signal about 4" to 5" in the gravel. I chipped through the rock and found a nice Barber dime and somehow didn't scratch it. I found a few wheats, a Canadian penny and a play coin after that.
Sunday I went out with LDC looking for a good place to go. I didn't find much but 3 Wheat pennies from the 40's that had been used for some fun target practice. We got some rain here and there, but it is still very dry.

Very nice finds - it's always good to hunt around those big old trees !

Great finds! The shot pennies are pretty neat.

The only shot coin I have ever found happens to be my oldest Walking Liberty, a 1918S.
