Found 2 cool things yesterday, a Junkunc Bros. brass lock that the guy in the vid below thinks is semi valuable and a mystery coin/token something or another.
Mine lock has the same era logo as the one in the vid, and a serial number that is higher... #2756, and no cutouts on the shackle where ball bearings F75 to lock it in.
That mystery item is a hair bigger than a quarter, underneath the dirty surface is a metal that looks like nickel.
Came in as a dead on nickel signal on the F70, a 32, which is weird for something this big if it really is made out of nickel.
It has a rim like a coin or token and is definitely not a knockout of any kind.
The front and back has some scrapes and bumps on one side and a bunch if formless bumps on the other but I can't see a hint of an image, letters or numbers in any of them.
Found in a park that holds targets I have dug that date back to the late 19th to early 20th century, I suspect it was something recognizable at one time but has been sitting in the ground for many decades.
Better than trash, but I sure wish I knew what this thing actually is or was back in the day.
Maybe someday I will figure it out.
